Darkstar 'Foam Island'

For Darkstar’s third album “Foam Island”, made and recorded in Huddersfield; I was asked to collaborate with the band to photographically represent the town’s social situation, and of a society holding it’s breath during the time of the 2015 election.

Visiting the town regularly over a three month period I captured portraits and incidental moments of the lives and people who helped shape the tone of the album. 

The portraits and reportage photographs formed the albums cover and artwork designed by Michael C Place from Build
