A film created on the margin between real and virtual, utilising in camera effects, mechanical lighting and 3D scanning
Music Promo for James Blake in collaboration with UVA. The film is an exploration of real and virtual light, to tell a story about transformation. Technically achieved with a combination of in-camera illusion, mechanical engineering and animation effects, synchronised by a d3 server controlling a motion control rig, the rotary arm and content playback.
