An interactive on-screen cinema experience created by Sprint in partnership with ‘Team Sprint’ that encouraged moviegoers to turn off their mobile device in exchange for a custom mobile phone ‘dream’. More than 1,000 NCM Movie Theatres showed the experience on almost 18,000 screens as part of Sprint’s courtesy-message sponsorship asking moviegoers to turn off their phones prior to the start of a movie.
Commissioned by Leo Burnett, the studio was asked the question, ‘If your phone could truly ‘sleep’, what would it dream?’. Our response, was to consider what it might look and feel like, within the phone's ‘mind’. Our abstract representation fused high technology robot cameras, and a series of custom designed physical installations to create a work entirely caught in camera, with no CGI, bridging the gap between the digital and physical worlds.
The short film was produced in two versions, one with a male and the other with a female perspective.
